In an AI World, People Are The Next Big Thing

On Tuesday 4 August, the SOLIDitech team headed to the University of Cape Town’s Epic Job Expo to connect with students who are passionate about software, innovation and shaping the future.

This year, we took a different approach.

Our stand featured an interactive magazine cover experience where students became the face of “The Next Big Thing.” At the heart of the experience was a simple message:

“In an AI world, you are the next big thing.”

As artificial intelligence continues to transform industries, it’s easy to wonder what the future of work looks like. At SOLIDitech, we believe AI doesn’t replace human potential. It amplifies it.

The future belongs to curious minds, creative thinkers and problem solvers who are ready to imagine new possibilities and turn ideas into reality. Technology is the tool. People are what make the difference.

Throughout the day, our team had the opportunity to meet hundreds of students, chat about careers in technology and share what life at SOLIDitech is all about. The interactive photo booth, branded SWAG and social media competition added to the excitement while creating plenty of memorable moments.

Events like UCT’s Epic Job Expo are about more than recruitment. They’re about building relationships, encouraging future innovators and showing students that there is an exciting place for them in a rapidly evolving digital world.

A big thank you to the organisers for hosting another fantastic event and to every student who stopped by our stand. We loved hearing your stories, answering your questions and seeing so many future innovators step into the spotlight.

If the energy and enthusiasm at this year’s expo were anything to go by, the future of technology is in very good hands and we can’t wait to see where it leads.
