iWayAfrica Launches Innovative ‘Pick & Mix’ Satellite Service on SOLID

Pan-African telecommunication provider and SOLIDitech customer, iWayAfrica, has launched Jola, a flexible Ku-Band, managed satellite service for Sub-Saharan Africa.

Working with iWayAfrica, SOLIDitech was able to use their SOLID Business Automation Platform to enable a revolutionary ‘pick & mix’ satellite broadband service. Jola allows small businesses and households to select a service plan that balances monthly data allowance and speed to suit their needs – something that has previously not been possible for satellite broadband providers.

The opportunity to deliver the new and flexible solution was time-sensitive. The SOLIDitech team was able to integrate with the Hughes Jupiter platform and Allot PacketShaper network equipment to deliver an automated end-to-end solution that fulfilled the clients’ requirements and more, all within the given time frame.   

iWayAfrica can now offer their resellers an exciting new product via their automated SOLID platform. Resellers are able to manage their customer’s products, capping & usage allocation, via their self-management website portal.
