SOLIDitech Levels Up Careers at the 2023 UCT Epic Career Expo
At SOLIDitech we are passionate about supporting events that support our future workforce and expose them to ‘real life’. Once such event is UCT’s Annual Epic Career Expo. Wow – it was a great one this year with a record number of students in attendance. Our stand was themed as “Level Up Your Career,” and we were abuzz with activity!
At the heart of our expo presence was an engaging quiz designed to help students discover their unique “Career Superpower.” The the interactive quiz has been a resounding success! It provides students with a personalised insight into their strengths and how they can leverage them in their future careers.

Our team went above and beyond to create a welcoming environment for students. The diverse group of Software Engineer careers represented on the stand varied from Software Engineers, Scrum Managers, Quality Assurance Analysts, Administration, Marketing, Support Engineers and HR. This selection of experiences allowed us to engage in candid conversations and provide real-world guidance to attending students.
Throughout the day, we connected with many students studying Computer Science, Mechatronics, Engineering, and Information Systems. These insightful conversations underlined the event’s importance for students exploring career opportunities in technology.
We were pleased to receive extensive social media recognition from students and UCT Career Services, a testament to our positive impact and strong brand presence at the Expo.
Manuel, SOLIDitech’s CEO, praised the team’s efforts: “I felt really proud to be at our stand meeting all the students and hearing the replies to their questions from our SOLID team. They were awesome, and I was happy to stand back and just listen to the great responses!
