SOLIDitech Named Finalist in Two Categories at Africa Tech Week Awards 2026
SOLIDitech has been named a finalist in two categories at the 2026 Africa Tech Week Awards.
It’s a big moment for the team – and one that reflects the kind of work we’ve been doing for a long time.
SOLIDitech was built on a simple idea: businesses need better tools to run complex operations. Over the years, that’s meant building software that can handle real-world scale – from onboarding and billing to provisioning, support and everything in between.
As Internet in South Africa continues to evolve, the systems behind it need to keep evolving and innovating too – not just to support speed and scale, but to enable entirely different service models. That includes everything from mobile apps that enable mobile-first prepaid fibre experiences, to platforms that support rapid growth in the fibre market. That’s the space we’ve been working in for over 20 years.
Today, companies like MWEB, Vox, Frogfoot and Net Nine Nine rely on SOLIDitech to support critical parts of their operations. These aren’t short-term projects. They’re long-term platforms that sit at the centre of how those businesses run and grow.
Being recognised in the Digital Transformation category speaks to that – not just change for the sake of it, but meaningful, sustained improvements in how businesses operate.
And the Technology Company of the Year nomination reflects the broader picture: consistent delivery, strong engineering, and a platform that continues to evolve as our customers scale.
That evolution doesn’t happen by accident. Whether it’s ongoing platform improvements or newer investments like AI-supported testing, the focus is always the same – building software that works properly, at scale, over time.
Being named a finalist in both categories is a great signal that we’re on the right track.
For the team behind SOLIDitech, it is also a moment to recognise the depth of experience, discipline and consistency that has shaped the business over the past 20 years.
The winners will be announced at the Africa Tech Week Awards ceremony on 13 May 2026.
